A RESOLUTION EXPANDING THE CITY OF FAIRFAX HUMAN
.SERVICES COMMITTEE TO INCLUDE THE CITY'S REPRESENTATIVE TO THE
FAIRFAX COUNTY LONG TERM CARE COORDINATING COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council recognize the inherent benefit of citizen
input to the effective delivery of a wide spectrum of human services provided contractually to
the citizens of the City of Fairfax; and
WHEREAS, Fairfax County has instituted a Long Term Care Coordinating Council
which includes a representative from the City of Fairfax; and
WHEREAS, the individual representatives of the City on regional and county boards
and commissions have benefited from the regular opportunity for collaboration provided
through the City's Human Services Committee; and
WHEREAS, the meetings of the Human Services Committee have afforded the
individual representatives to regional boards and commissions with a forum to enhance and
support their positions on behalf of the City,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council do
hereby expand the membership of the City of Fairfax Human Services Committee to include
the City's representative to the Fairfax County Long Term Care Coordinating Council.
