AUTHORIZING WORKERS' COMPENSATION
INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR
CITY COUNCIL AND APPOINTED OFFICIALS
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax provides workers' compensation insurance for all workers
through the Virginia Municipal Group Self Insurance Association; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to bring all workers under the Workers' Compensation Act of
the Commonwealth of Virginia.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Mayor and members of the
City Council and appointed officials are hereby authorized to be included as employees for
the purposes of the Workers' Compensation Act of the Commonwealth of Virginia and
entitled to all coverage provided under said Act.
