AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8,
ARTICLE I, OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF
FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, BY AMENDING SECTION
8-3.13 CONCERNING RECOVERY OF
ATTORNEY'S FEES AND COLLECTION AGENCY
FEES ASSOCIATED WITH THE COLLECTION OF
DELINQUENT TAXES OR OTHER CHARGES.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Virginia, that Chapter 8, Article I, Section 8.3-
13 of the Code of the City of Fairfax is hereby amended to
read in its entirety as follows:
Section 8-3.13
Attorney's fees and collection agency
fees.
There may be imposed upon anyone owing taxes or other
charges reasonable attorney's fees or collection agency
fees actually contracted for the collection of delinquent
taxes or other charges, not to exceed twenty percent (20%)
of the taxes or other charges so collected.
This ordinance shall become effective as provided by
law.
