AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 25-2,
ARTICLE I, CHAPTER 25 OF THE CODE OF
THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, BY
EXEMPTING FROM THE PROHIBITION AGAINST
DISCHARGING FIREARMS THOSE DISCHARGES
DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH A SPECIAL
PERMIT ISSUED BY THE CITY MANAGER
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Virginia, that Section 25-2, Article I, Chapter 25
of the Code of the City of Fairfax, Virginia is amended to
read in its entirety as follows:
Section 25-2. Discharge of fire~rms.
It shall be unlawful for any person to fire or
discharge any gun, pistol, or other firearm within the
city, except:
(a) By special permit issued by the city manager
containing reasonable conditions or restrictions, upon
written application showing good cause for the requested
firing or discharge, and limited to guns, pistols, and
other firearms loaded with a blank cartridge, or other
ammunition, not resulting in the expulsion of a projectile;
or
(b) On a shooting gallery or range authorized by the
city; or
(c)
