AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER, ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF
FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, TO EXECUTE ALL
DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO CONVEY TO THE
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF PRINCE WILLIAM
COUNTY, VIRGINIA (THE "COUNTY"), THE
CITY'S INTEREST IN 12.08083 ACRES, MORE
OR LESS, OF REAL ESTATE LOCATED IN THE
BRENTSVILLE MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT OF
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VIRGINIA, AND
HELD IN TRUST BY THE BOARD OF THE
NORTHERN VIRGINIA CRIMINAL JUSTICE
ACADEMY FOR THE BENEFIT OF VARIOUS
NORTHERN VIRGINIA JURISDICTIONS, AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
AN AGREEMENT AMONG THE BOARD, VARIOUS
NORTHERN VIRGINIA JURISDICTIONS, AND THE
COUNTY CONCERNING THE WITHDRAWAL OF THE
COUNTY FROM THE ACADEMY.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Virginia, that the City Manager is hereby
authorized to execute, on behalf of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia (the "City"), a special warranty deed and all
related documents necessary for the City to convey to the
Board of Supervisors of Prince William County, Virginia (the
"County"), the City's interest in 12.08083 acres, more or
less, of real estate (the "Property") held in trust by the
Board of the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Academy (the
"Board") for the benefit of the member jurisdictions of the
Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Academy (the "Academy"),
which Property is located in the Brentsville Magisterial
District of Prince William County, Virginia and is described
on a plat entitled "Plat Showing Division on the Property of
Board of Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Academy, Trustee
Et Al., Brentsville Magisterial District, Prince William
County, Virginia," dated March 4, 1994, prepared by Dewberry
and Davis, Architects/Engineers/Planners/Surveyors, 8401
Arlington Blvd., Fairfax, Virginia, 7000 Infantry Ridge
Road, Suite 105, Manassas, Virginia 22110, as such plat may
be revised.

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the City Manager is hereby
authorized to execute, on behalf of the City, an Agreement
among the Board, the Board as Trustee, the Counties of
Arlington, Loudoun, Prince William, the Cities of
Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, Manassas and Manassas
Park, and the County concerning the conveyance of the
Property, the withdrawal of the County from the Academy, and
their future relationship (the "Agreement,,).
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED.that the City Manager is hereby
authorized to execute a deed, as described above, all
related documents, and the Agreement, provided that each of
the jurisdictions owning an interest in the Property have
agreed by ordinance, resolution, or other lawful and legally
binding act, to convey their respective interest in the
Property to the County, and have authorized the execution of
the Agreement, and further provided that the deed, related
documents, and Agreement have been approved as to form by
the City Attorney.

This Ordinance shall become effective as provided by
law.
