AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE I, CHAPTER 14 OF THE CODE
OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, BY ADDING THERETO A NEW
SECTION 14-7.2, CONCERNING THE NUMBER OF PAWNSHOPS THAT
MAY BE OPERATED AT ANY ONE TIME WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia, that Article I, Chapter 14 of the Code of the City
of Fairfax, Virginia, is hereby amended by adding thereto a
new Section 14-7.2 to read in its entirety as follows:
SeQ. 14-7.2.
Number of pawnshops that may be operated with~ the
City.
Not more than one (1) pawnshop may be operated or may be
permitted or licensed to operate at any one time within the
territorial limits of the City.
This ordinance is enacted to protect the public interest and
promote the public welfare.
3. This ordinance shall become effective as provided by law.
