AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 8-3.11,
ARTICLE I, OF CHAPTER 8 OF THE CODE
OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA,
CONCERNING PAYMENTS BY CREDIT CARD
1. BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Virginia, that Section 8-3.11, Article I, Chapter 8 of
the Code of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, is hereby amended to
read in its entirety as follows:
Section 8-3.11 Payment by credit card.
The treasurer is authorized to accept payment of local taxes,
other fees or charges generated by the sale of utility services
of credit card .......... ~ ~ -~-~ ~.

penalties and interest which may be assessed upon such local
taxes, add to the payment a sum not to exceed four (4) percent of
the amount of tax, penalty and interest paid, as a service charge

city. Such service charge shall not be assessed upon any payment.
