AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13-49, DIVISION 1,
ARTICLE II, CHAPTER 13 OF THE CODE OF THE
CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, REGARDING INOPERATIVE
MOTOR VEHICLES, REMOVAL AND DISPOSITION AND THE
PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF.
1. BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Virginia, that Section 13-49, Division 1, Article II,
Chapter 13 of the Code of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, is hereby
amended by adding thereto a new subsection (f), to read in its
entirety as follows:
Sec. 13-49.
Unlawful to keep inoperative motor vehicles; removal
and disposition; penalty.
(f) In addition to the remedies provided for in this section,
any person, firm or corporation violating this section shall be
deemed guilty of a class 3 misdemeanor and shall be subject to the
penalties provided in section 1-6. The remedies provided in this
section are cumulative and not exclusive and shall not be deemed
to preclude the remedies otherwise available under the law.
2. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the remaining subsections of
the section hereby amended shall continue to read as previously
enacted.
3. This ordinance shall become effective as provided by law.
