AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 24-2, ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 24
OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, TO INCREASE
THE RATES FOR WATER AND SEWER SERVICE FOR RESIDENTIAL
AND COMMERCIAL CUSTOMERS
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax that
Section 24-2 of Article 1, Chapter 24, of the Code of the City of
Fairfax is hereby amended to read in its entirety as follows:
Section 24-2. Water service and sewer service--Service rates.
(a) The rates for water service furnished by the city shall
be as follows:
(1) Residential customers: ~;-- ~ ..... ~ _ ~

gallons for all water in excess of five thousand (5,000)
gallons.

cent of the computer water service rate; provided, however, that

This ordinance shall become effective on July 1, 1993.
