AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER, ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF
FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, TO EXECUTE A DEED OF
EASEMENT AND ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS
NECESSARY TO CONVEY TO THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS OF PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY AN
EASEMENT FOR INGRESS-EGRESS, UTILITIES
AND WATER LINES THROUGH REAL ESTATE
LOCATED IN PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY AND
HELD IN TRUST BY THE BOARD OF THE
NORTHERN VIRGINIA CRIMINAL JUSTICE
ACADEMY FOR THE BENEFIT OF VARIOUS
NORTHERN VIRGINIA JURISDICTIONS
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax, Virginia, as a member of
the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Academy (the
"Academy,,), is an owner of an undivided interest in the
property of the Academy located in the Nokesville area of
Prince William County; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Prince William
County (the "County,,) owns two parcels of real estate,
adjacent to the Academy,s parcel, on which the County
intends to construct its public safety training complex; and
WHEREAS, the County has requested that the Academy and
its member jurisdictions convey to the County an easement of
variable width for ingress-egress, utilities and water lines
through the Academy,s property; and
WHEREAS, the easements are more fully described within
a Deed of Easement attached hereto and on a plat entitled
"Plat Showing Various Easements Through the Property of
Board of Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Academy,
Trustee, et al., Brentsville Magisterial District, Prince
William County, Virginia,,, prepared by Mario Pinto,
Surveyor, dated June 8, 1992.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of
the City of Fairfax, Virginia, that the Council hereby
authorizes the City Manager, on behalf of the City of
Fairfax, Virginia, to execute a Deed of Easement and all
related documents necessary to convey to the Board of
Supervisors of Prince William County an ingress-egress,
utilities and water lines easement of variable width at the

locations indicated on the plat entitled "Plat Showing
Various Easements Through the Property of Board of Northern
Virginia Criminal Justice Academy, Trustee, e~t .al.,
Brentsville Magisterial District, Prince William County,
Virginia,,, prepared by Mario Pinto, Surveyor, dated June 8,
1992, together with any minor revisions to the Deed of
Easement and related documents deemed necessary, provided
that such documents are approved as to form by the City
Attorney and counsel for the Northern Virginia Criminal
Justice Academy.
This ordinance shall become effective as provided by
law.
