AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13-65, ARTICLE
III, OF CHAPTER 13 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF
FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, CONCERNING THE RATE OF
VEHICLE LICENSE TAXATION.
BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia, that Section 13-65, Article III, Chapter 13 of the Code
of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, is hereby amended to read in its
entirety as follows:
Sec. 13-65. Amount of tax.
(a) For tax year 1994, there shall be a vehicle license tax
of twelve dollars and fifty cents ($12.50) on every motor vehicle,
trailer and semitrailer subject to this article, except motor-
cycles, and a vehicle license tax of seven dollars and fifty cents
($7.50) for each motorcycle subject to this article.
(b) For tax year 1995 and each year thereafter, there shall
be an annual vehicle license tax of twenty-five dollars ($25.00)
on every motor vehicle, trailer and semitrailer subject to this
article, except motorcycles, and an annual vehicle license tax ofI
fifteen dollars ($15.00) for each motorcycle subject to this
article.
This ordinance shall become effective at 12:01 a.m. on January
1, 1994.
