AN ORDINANCE MENDING SECTION 5-7, ARTICLE II,
CHAPTER 5 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX,
VIRGINIA, TO EXEMPT CERTAIN TAX EXEMPT
ORGANIZATIONS FROM THE PAYMENT OF BUILDING
PERMIT FEES FOR TEMPORARY STRUCTURES
1. BE IT ORDAINED by the city Council of the City of
Fairfax, Virginia that Section 5-7, Article II, Chapter
5 of the Code of the City of Fairfax is hereby amended
to read in its entirety as follows:
Sec. 5-7. Permit fees.
,
Orqanizations exempt from taxation pursuant to
Section 501(c) (8) or Section 501(c) (19) of the
Internal Revenue Code shall be exempt from the
9ayment of buildinq permit fees for temporary
structures erected by or for any such orqaniza
tions.
2. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the city Council of the
City of Fairfax, virginia that the remaining subsections
of the section hereby amended shall continue to read as
previously enacted.
This ordinance shall become effective as provided
by law.
