AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-35, ARTICLE VII,
CHAPTER 2 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA,
CONCERNING THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE
TRANSPORTATION SAFETY COMMISSION
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia, that Section 2-35, Article VII, Chapter 2 of the
Code of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, is hereby amended
in its entirety as follows:
Section 2-35.
Created; number, appointment and terms of offic~
of members.
There is hereby created a transportation safety commission
for the city to consist of~.~A~ ..... ~,'~ ten (10) members
appointed by the city council. The transportation safety
commission shall be composed as follows: Five (5) members from
the general public, ....................... ~ ....... I, one member
of the city police department, one member of the department of
fire and rescue services, one member designated by the school
board, one member of the city public works department, and one
member designated by the ~-~-~ .... ~" Central Fairfax Chamber
of Commerce who shall be a professional or technical member.
Members of the commission shall serve at the pleasure of the
city council or for two (2) years, whichever is shorter.
This ordinance shall become effective as provided by law.
