AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 14-5.2, ARTICLE I,
CHAPTER 14 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX,
VIRGINIA, CONCERNING BINGO PERMITS AND DELETION
OF THE APPLICATION FEE REQUIREMENT.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax that
Section 14-5.2, Article I, Chapter 14 of the Code of the City of
Fairfax is amended to read in its entirety as follows:
Section 14-5.2.
Same - Permit required.
Prior to the commencement of any bingo game or raffle by a
qualified organization as defined herein, such organization shall
be required to obtain an annual permit from the city manager. Such
permit shall be granted only after a reasonable investigation has
been conducted by the City Police DepartmentA~l~t

permit shall be made by completing and submitting the form in Code
of Virginia, Section 18.2-340.2. However, the form may be expanded
to include any other information desired by the city manager. The
application shall be a matter of public record.
This ordinance shall become effective as provided by law.
