AN ORDINANCE ANENDING AND REENACTING SECTIONS 6-7 THROUGH 6-12,
ARTICLE III, CHAPTER 6 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX,
VIRGINIA, TO CHANGE THE BOUNDARY LINES BETWEEN PRECINCT8 ONE AND
TWO AND PRECINCT8 THREE AND FOUR AND TO CLARIFY THE DESCRIPTIONS
FOR PRECINCTS FIVE AND SIX.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Fairfax,
Virqinia, that Sections 6-7 through 6-12, Article III, Chapter 6
of the Code of the City of F&ir£ax, Virginia are hereby amended and
reenacted in their entirety, as follovs:
sec. 6-7. PRECINCT ONE.
Beginning at a point marking the southern boundary of the City
of Fairfax on Route 123, Chain Bridge Road, at a mid-point in the
road, going north along Route 123 to the intersect of Center Street
at a midpoint in the road, following west on Center Street to the
intersect of the Arlington-Fairfax Railroad right of way, going
north along the Arlington-Fairfax Railroad right of way, to the
intersect of Cedar Avenue to a midpoint in the road, following
Cedar Avenue west to the intersect of Keith Avenue, following Keith
Avenue south until the intersect of Tusico branch of Accotink
Creek, at a mid-point in the road, following Tusico branch of
Accotink Creek in a northwest direction to the intersect of Tusico
branch of Accotink Creek and Routes 29 and 50, Lee Highway, at a
mid-point in the road, following Route 29, Lee Highway, to the
western boundary of the City to an intersect of Rust Road at a mid-
point in the road, and following Rust Road in a southern direction
until it turns east and intersects with the western boundary of the
City, and following the western boundary of the City in a southern
direction until it turns east and it intersects with Route 123,
Chain Bridge Road, at a mid-point in the road.
The polling place is located at Fairfax Presbyterian Church, 10723
Main Street.
Sec. 6-8. PRECINCT TWO.
Beginning at a point marking the intersection of Route 236,
Main Street, and Old Lee Highway, at a mid-point in the road,
following a northeastern direction along Old Lee Highway until it
intersects with Rebel Run at a mid-point in the road, following
Rebel Run until it intersects with Routes 29 and 50, Lee Highway,
at a mid-point in the road, following a western direction until it
intersects with Tusico branch of Accotink Creek, at a mid-point in
the road, and following Tusico branch of Accotink Creek in a
southeastern direction until it intersects with Keith Avenue, at
a midpoint in the road, following Keith Avenue northward until it
intersects with Cedar Avenue, at a midpoint in the road, following
Cedar Avenue east to the Arlington-Fairfax Railroad right of way,
south along the Arlington Fairfax Railroad right of way, to the
intersect of Center Street, at a midpoint in the road, east on
Center Street to the intersect of Route 123, Chain Bridge Road, at
a midpoint in the road, following Route 123, Chain Bridge Road, in
a southern direction until it intersects with Route 236, Main
Street, at a mid-point in the road and following east along Route
236, Main Street, until it intersects with Old Lee Highway at a
mid-point in the road.

Beginning at a point marking the intersection of Estel Road
and Route 236, Main Street, at a midpoint in the road, following
north on Estel Road to the intersect of Barlow Road at a midpoint
in the road, following in a northwestern direction along Barlow
Road, to the intersect of Ashby Road, at a midpoint in the road,
following west on Ashby Road to the intersect of Daniels Run creek,
at a midpoint in the road, northeast along Daniels Run creek bed
to the intersect of the southern fork of Daniels Run creek, at a
midpoint in the creek bed, following in a southern direction to the
intersect of Colonial Avenue, at a midpoint in the road, east on
Colonial Avenue to the intersect of Pickett Road, at a midpoint in
the road, following south on Pickett Road to the intersect of the
City's southern border, east along the City's southern border to
the intersect of the southeastern corner of the City's border,
north along the City's border to the intersect of Accotink Creek,
at a midpoint in the creek bed, following southwest along the creek
bed to the intersect of Old Lee Highway at a midpoint in the road,
continuing south along Old Lee Highway to an intersect with Route
236, Main Street, at a midpoint in the road, following east along
Route 236, Main Street, to a midpoint in the road at Estel Road.
The polling place is located at Layton Hall Elementar~ School, 3705
Old Lee Highway.
8ec. 6-10. PRECINCT FOUR.
Beginning at a midpoint in the road at the intersection of
Route 123, Chain Bridge Road, and Route 236, Main Street, following
Route 123, Chain Bridge Road, south to the City's border, at the
intersect of the City's border turning east and following the
City's border to the intersect of Pickett Road, at a midpoint in
the road, following north along Pickett Road to the intersect of
Colonial Avenue at a midpoint in the road, west on Colonial Avenue
to the intersect of Daniels Run creek, at a midpoint in the creek
bed, following Daniels Run creek bed northeast to the intersect of
another branch of Daniels Run creek, at a midpoint in the creek
bed, following Daniels Run creek southwest to the intersect of
Ashby Road, at a midpoint in the road, following Ashby Road east
to the intersection of Barlow Road, at a midpoint in the road,
following Barlow Road in a northeastern direction to the intersect
of Estel Road, at a midpoint in the road, south along Estel Road
to the intersect of Route 236, Main Street, at a midpoint in the
road, west along Route 236, Main Street, to the intersect of Route
123, Chain Bridge Road, at a midpoint in the road.
The polling place is located at City Hall, 10455 Armstrong Street.
sec. 6-11.PRECINCT FIVE.
Beginning at a point marking the eastern boundary of the City
at the intersect of Accotink Creek, at a midpoint in the creek bed,
following the eastern boundary north until it intersects with the
northern boundary of the City, following the northern boundary west
until it intersects with Route 123, Chain Bridge Road, at a
midpoint in the road, following south along Route 123, Chain Bridge
Road, until it intersects with Routes 50 and 29, Lee Highway, at
a midpoint in the road, following east along Routes 50 and 29, to
the intersect of Rebel Run, at a midpoint in the road, following
southeast along Rebel Run to an intersect with Old Lee Highway, at
a midpoint in the road, to the intersect of Accotink Creek, at a
midpoint in the road, following northeast along Accotink Creek to
the intersect of the eastern boundary of the City.
1991-16
The polling place is located at Fairfax High School, 3500 Old Lee
Hiqhway. The pollinq place is located within 300 yards of the
precinct line.
Sec, 6-12. PRECINCT SIX.
Beginning at a point marking the mid-point in the road at the
intersect of Routes 50 and 29, Lee Highway, with Route 123, Chain
Bridge Road, following north along Route 123, Chain Bridge Road to
the northern boundary of the City, at a midpoint in the road,
following the City line in a western direction to the intersect of
the northern boundary with the western boundary of the City,
following the western boundary of the City in a southern direction
to the intersect of Route 29, Lee Highway, at a midpoint in the
road, following Route 29, Lee Highway, in an eastern direction to
the intersect of Route 123, Chain Bridge Road, at a midpoint in the
road.
The polling place is located at Christ Lutheran Church, 3810
Meredith Drive.
This ordinance shall become effective as authorized by law.
