AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-27 (a),
ARTICLE IV, CHAPTER 2, OF THE CODE OF THE
CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, PERTAINING TO THE
QUALIFICATIONS OF PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBERS
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia, that Section 2-27 (a), Article VI, Chapter 2, of the
Code of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, is amended to read in its
entirety as follows:
Section 2-27
Composition; appointment and terms of office of
members.
(a) The planning commission shall be composed of seven (7)
members, appointed by the city council, all of whom shall be

least one half of the members so appointed shall be owners of
real property and shall be qualified by knowledge and experience
to make decisions on questions of community growth and develop-
ment.
This ordinance shall become effective as provided by law.
