AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 9-14 F-313.1, AND 9-14 F-313.6(f), ARTICLE III
OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, RELATING TO DESIG-
NATION OF FIRE LANES AND PENALTY FOR PARKING THEREIN.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, that
Section 9-14 F-313.1 is hereby amended as follows:
F-313.1 Designation
Delete and substitute as follows: The fire official shall designate fire
lanes on public streets and on private property where necessary ~e~-~he-pu~-
~ese-ef-p~eve~+~§-Pa~k~§-~-~e~-e~-e~-a~aee~_~_~e_hy~a~_a~ to
ensure that fire fighting and rescue apparatus has the required access to
fire department connections, buildings and structures, a~-{e-e~su~e-aeee~
~8-bu~§~-a~-~ue~u~e~-fe~-f~ef~§N~g-a~-~es~ue_appa~a~u~ Fire lanes
shall have a minimum width of eighteen (18) feet.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia, that Section 9-14 F-313.6(5) is hereby amended as follows:
(5) Penalty for violation of this section shall be a fine of ~we~y-f+ve
de~a~s-($~§~ fift~ dollars ($50.00) for each offense.
This ordinance shall become effective upon execution by the Mayor.
