AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4-21(e) OF ARTICLE IV OF
CHAPTER 4 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA,
TO PROVIDE FOR ANIMALS TRAINED TO ASSIST HANDICAPPED
PERSONS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
'irginia that the last sentence of Section 4-21(e) of Article IV
.f "Chapter 4, Animals and Fowl", of the Code of the City of
'airfax be and hereby is amended to read in its entirety as
!ollows:
"Ferrets, rabbits and laboratory rats which have been
bred in captivity and which have never known the wild
and any animal specifically trained to assist a
handicapped person shall be excluded from this
definition."
This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
~xecution by the Mayor.
