AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13-1 OF
THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia, upon review of the amendments made to Title 46.1 and
ticle 2 of Chapter 7 of Title 18.2 of the Code of Virginia
during the 1986 session of the virginia General Assembly, that
the first sentence of Section 13-1 of the Code of the City of
Fairfax, virginia, be and the same is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"Pursuant to the authority of Section 46.1-188 of
the Code of Virginia, as amended, all the provisions
and requirements of the laws of the State contained in
Title 46.1 and Article 2 of Chapter 7 of Title 18.2 of
the Code of virginia, as in force and effect on July 1,
1986, except those provisions and requirements the
violation of which constitutes a felony, and except
those provisions and requirements which by their very
nature can have no application to or within the City,
are hereby adopted and incorporated in this Chapter by
reference and made applicable within the City."
The remainder of Section 13-1 of the Code of the City of Fairfax
shall continue to be in effect.
This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
~xecution by the Mayor.
