AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY
OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, TO RAISE THE INCOME CEILING AND
TO CHANGE THE APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR REAL ESTATE TAX
AND RENT RELIEF FOR THE ELDERLY AND THE HANDICAPPED
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, that
Articles VII and VIII of Charter 8 of the City Code be amended as follows:
1. Amend Section 8-32(c~ by deleting the word "twelve" in the first sentence and
inserting the word "fifteen" in its vlace.
2. Amend Section 8-33(a) by deleting the number "1" following the word "Aoril"
and inserting the number "15" in its place.
3. Amend Section g-3t,(h} by deleting the word "twelve" and inserting the word
"fifteen" in its vlace.
4. Amend Section 8-~!(c} by deleting the word "twelve" and inserting the word
"fifteeen" in its place.
5. Amend Section 8-t~2(a~ by deleting the number "1" after the word "A~ril" and
inserting the number "15" in its ~lace.
6. Amend Section 8-~3(h~ by deleting the word "twelve" and inserting the word
"fifteen" in its ~lace.
This ordinance shall become effective ur>on execution by the Mayor.
