AN ORDINANCE ADDING NEW SECTIONS 17-16 AND 17-16.1
TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Virginia, that Chapter 17 of the Code of the City
of Fairfax, Virginia, be amended by adding the following
sections:
"Sec. 17-16. Retirement Plan For General Employees.
The retirement plan for general employees of the
city is hereby amended, restated, adopted, and incorporated
by reference herein as if set out in full. Said
retirement plan shall govern all rights and responsi-
bilities of the city and its general employees as of
the 13th day of March, 1984. Copies of said[ plan shall
be maintained and made available at the office of the
city manager."
"Sec. 17-16.1. Retirement Plan For Public Safety Employees.
The retirement plan for public safety employees of
the city is hereby amended, restated, adopted, and
incorporated by reference herein as if set out in full.
Said retirement plan shall govern all rights and
responsibilities of the city and its public safety
employees as of the 13th day of ~arch, 1984. Copies of
said plan shall be maintained and made available at the
office of the city manager."
This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its
being signed by the Mayor.
