AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A PERMIT PARKING
DISTRICT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CODE OF THE
CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, CHAPTER 13, ARTICLE IV
WHEREAS, the City Manager in accordance with Section 13.75
of the Code of the City of Fairfax has recommended a Permit
Parking District as described herein, and
WHEREA~ after introduction of an ordinance and a public
hearing, the City Council is of the opinion that the Requirements
of Chapter 13, Article IV have been met and the area designated
herein qualifies as a Permit Parking District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the
City of Fairfax, Virginia that a new Section 13.83 is hereby
added to the Code of the City of Fairfax to read in its entirety
as follows:
"Sec. 13.83. Permit Parking Districts.
The following are hereby established as Permit
Parking Districts in accordance with this Article and
parking is prohibited therein during the hours of 7
A.M. through 8 P.M., Monday through Friday and 7 A.M.
through 1 P.M., Saturday, except as permitted in this
Article and the City Manager is directed to post the
required signs after notice has been given as required
in Section 13.75(e):
(a) University Drive from the Southerly
boundary of the City to and including the inter-
section with Cleveland Street; School Street
adjoining 4230 and 4226 University Drive and in
front of 10509 and 10507 School Street; Forest
Avenue beginning with its intersection with
Berritt Street westerly to and including the
Circle; Beaumont Street from its intersection
with Beaumont Court westerly to and including

its intersection with Sideburn Road; Beaumont
Court; Barbour Drive; Sideburn Road from the
southerly boundary of the City to and including
its intersection with Cleveland Street;
Cleveland Street from and including its inter-
sections with Sideburn Road westerly to its
end; and Linden Street from and including its
intersection with Cleveland Street southerly to
the end in its circle."
This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
