AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-35 OF ARTICLE VII
OF CHAPTER 2 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFA×, VIRGINIA.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia, that Section 2-35 of Article VII of Chapter 2 of the
Code of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, be and the same is hereby
amended to read in its entirety as follows:
"Sec. 2-35. Created; number, appointment and terms of
office of members.
There is hereby created a transportation safety
commission for the city to consist of eleven members
appointed by the city council. The transportation
safety commission shall be composed as follows: Five
members from the general public, one member of the city
council, one member of the city police department, one
member of the department of fire and rescue services,
one member designated by the school board, one member
of the city public works department, and one member
designated by the Fairfax City Chamber of Commerce who
shall be a professional or technical member. Such
members shall serve terms of office of two years each."
This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
approval by the Mayor.
