AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION (e) TO SECTION 8-3
OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia that Subsection (e) be and the same is hereby added to
Section 8-3 of the Code of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, to
read in its entirety as follows:
"(e) The cc~aissioner of revenue may waive any of
the late filing penalties described in subsection
(a) above and interest described in subection (b)
above when, in the cc~aissioner's judgment, the
failure to file a return or to pay a tax was not
in any way the fault of the taxpayer."
This Ordinance shall become .effective immediately upon
adoption.
