AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 26-170.1, 26-175.1 AND 26-187.2 OF
CHAPTER 26 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA
Be it ordained by the City Council for the City of Fairfax, Virginia, that Chapter
26 of the Code of the City of Fairfax, Virginia be and the same hereby is amended as
follows:
1. Paragraph 26-170.1(a)(6) is amended to read as follows:
(6) Amusement arcades
a. An amusement arcade may only be located in a shopping center
which has a gross floor area of 100,000 square feet or larger where
fifty percent of more of the occupied commercial space is retail
stores, and which forms one continuous structure with a completely
enclosed interior public corridor off which all commercial units have
primary ingress and egress. Such amusement arcade shall have public
access only to such public corridor. Any approved arcade in existence
prior to adoption of this ordinance shall be considered a conforming
use as long as it complies with all ordinances in effect immediately
prior to the adoption of this ordinance.
Paragraph 26-175.1(a (5) is amended to read as follows:

3. Subsection 26-187.2(a) is amended to delete paragraph (2).
This ordinance will become effective immediately upon signature by the Mayor.
