AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 8-7 OF THE CODE
OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Fairfax,
Virginia, that Section 8-7 of the Code of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia, be and the same is hereby amended as follows:
Subsection 8-7 (a) is amended to read as follows:
(a) No appeal to the assessment made by the director
of real estate assessments shall be heard by the board
of equalization of real estate assessments unless an
application to the board for relief is made in writing
to the board within thirty days of the date set by the
director to hear objections to the assessments or May
1 of the year in which such assessment is made, which-
ever is later.
This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
being signed by the Mayor.
