AN ORDINANCE ENACTING SECTION 2-57.1 OF
THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, ¥1RGINIA
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, that a
new section, to be numbered Section 2-57.1, is hereby enacted to read in its entirety
as follows:
"Section 2-57.1 Participation by minors in fire company
Any minor sixteen years of age of older, with parental or guardian approval,
may work with or participate fully in all activities of the city fire company
designated and approved in Section 2-57, provided such minor has attained
certification under National Fire Protection Association 1001, level one, fire fighters
standards, as administered by the Department of Fire Programs."
This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its execution by the
Mayor.
