AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 26-4 OF CHAPTER 26 OF THE CODE
OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia that Chapter 26 of the Code of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia be and the same hereby is amended as follows:
1. That Section 26-4 of said Chapter be and it is hereby
amended to add, and to insert in the proper alphabetical sequence,
two definitions, the remainder of Section 26-4 to remain unaffected
and the new definitions reading as follows:
"Movie theater. Any building, structure or other indoor
place, or any portion thereof, having fixed seating arranged
in rows to allow spectators an unobstructed view, and devoted
to the exhibition of motion pictures for which an admission
charge is made."
"Theater other than movie theater. Any building, structure
or other place, or any portion thereof, indoors or outdoors,
devoted to the exhibition of audio, visual, video or other
recorded or live shows, acts or events, and which is not a
movie theater as defined in this chapter."
This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon adop-
tion.
