19811027 1981-21ORDINANCE NO. 1981-21 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13-25 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA. BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Fairfax, Virginia, that Section 13-25 is amended by repealing the existing Section and enacting the following new Section 13-25 to read in its entirety as follows: "Sec. 13-25. Pedestrians soliciting rides or business. No person shall stand upon or in proximity to any street or roadway including any sidewalk, shoulder or median strip, for the purpose of soliciting a ride, employment, business, or contributions from the occupant of any vehicle. The provisions of this section shal 1 not apply to any person soliciting transportation in the case of an actual bona fide emergency. Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be fined not less than Two Dollars ($2.00) nor more than Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00) for each offense."
