AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14
OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA
TO ADD SECTION 14-28
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia, that Chapter 14 of the Code of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia, be and the same is hereby amended by adding Section
14-28 to read in its entirety as follows:
"Sec. 14-28. Automatic dialin~ device--prohibited.
It shall be unlawful for any person using a security
alarm system, regardless of whether or not the person
owns the premises on which the security alarm system is
located, to install or operate an automatic dialing
device which is programmed to transmit a pre-recorded
message or a code signal by telephone directly to the City
police department or the Fairfax County Emergency Operations
Center. Any violation of this section shall be punishable
by a fine of not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00)."
