AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 15-7 OF
THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia, that Section 15-7 of the Code of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia, be and the same hereby is amended in its entirety as
follows:
"Sec. 15-7.
Composition; appointment and terms of office
of members.
The park and recreation advisory board shall consist
of eleven members to be drawn as nearly as possible from
the various groups within the City having an interest in
park and recreation facilities and programs. Ten members
of the advisory board shall be appointed by the City
Council, one of whom shall be a member of the City whose
term shall coincide with his tenure on the City Council,
and one of whom shall be a member of the Planning Commission.
The eleventh member shall be a member of the City School
Board who is designated by the School Board. Members of
the board shall serve for three-year terms, or at the
pleasure of City Council."
