AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING
SUBSECTION (a) OF SECTION 13-6S OF
CHAPTER 13 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF
FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, TO REDUCE THE TAX
ON CERTAIN MOTOR VEHICLES, TRAILERS
AND SEMITRAILERS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Virginia, that Subsection (a) of Section 13-65 of Chapter
13 of the Code of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, be and it hereby
is amended and reenacted to read in its entirety as follows:
"(a) On every motor vehicle, trailer and semi-
trailer subject to this article,weighing up to
and including four thousand pounds, except motor-
cycles, there shall be a tax of fifteen dollars
per annum. On every motor vehicle, trailer and
semitrailer weighing in excess of four thousand
pounds, except motorcycles, there shall be a tax
of twenty dollars per annum. On motorcycles
there shall be a tax of eight dollars per annum
for each motorcycle and four dollars per annum
for each sidecar."
This ordinance shall become effective on July 1, 1980.
