AN ORDINANCE TO INCREASE SEWER SERVICE
CHARGES FOR RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL CONSUMERS
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia,
~hat Section 26-2, Article I, of Chapter 26 of the Code of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia, be and it hereby is amended as follows:
1. Delete the last paragraph thereof and substitute in its place and
stead the following as the second to the last paragraph:
"The rates for sewer service furnished by the City will be two
hundred forty percent (240%) of the computed water service rate."
2. Add a new last paragraph to read in its entirety as follows:
'lApartment buildings located within the corporate limits will be
billed at a minimum sewer rate of eight dollars and ninety eight cents ($8.98)
dwelling unit per month. Apartment buildings located beyond the corporate
imits will be billed at a minimum sewer rate of eleven dollars and twenty-two
:ents ($11.22) per dwelling unit per month."
This ordinance shall become effective on April 17, 1979.
