AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A
REDUCTION IN THE REAL ESTATE
TAX RATE FOR THE 1979 TAX YEAR
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfa~
Virginia, that the real estate tax rate for the second half of the
1979 tax year due for payment December 5, 1979, be and it hereby
is reduced from $1.51 to $1.40 per one hundred dollars assessed
valuation based upon an assessment ratio of one hundred percent of
fair market value.
This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its adoption by the City Council.
