AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REENACT SECTION
13-248 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX,
VIRGINIA PERTAINING TO THE PENALTY FOR
PARKING METER VIOLATIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia,
Section 13-248 of the Code of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, be and it
is amended and reenacted to read in its entirety as follows:
Sec. 13-248. Penalty for violations of article.
Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this
article and any person who shall aid, abet or assist in the viola-
tion of any of the provisions of this article shall, where no
specific penalty is provided, be punishable by a fine of not less
than ten dollars nor more than fifty dollars or by imprisonment
in jail for a period not exceeding ten days, or by both such fine
and such imprisonment.
This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by
City Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia.
