19760406 1976-12ORDINANCE NO. 1976-12 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14 OF THE FAIRFAX CITY CODE TO PROVIDE FOR A NEW SECTION 14-24 BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, that Chapter 14 of t~e Code of the City of Fairfax be, and the same hereby is, amended to provide for a new section 14- which will read in its entirety as follows: "Sec. 14-24 . Attempts to commit misdemeanor; how punished." "(a) Whenever in this Code or in any ordinance or resolution of the City or rule or regulation or order promulgated by an officer or agency of the City under authority duly vested in him or it, any act is prohibited or is declared to be unlawful or a misdemeanor, it shall be unlawful for any person to attempt to commit any act which is so prohibited or declared to be unlawful or a misdemeanor." "(b) Every person who attempts to commit an offense which is prohibited or is declared to be unlawful or a misdemeanor as provided in this Code, or in any ordinance or resolution of the City or rule or regulation or order promulgated by an officer or agency of the City under authority duly vested in him or it, shall be punishable by the same punishment prescribed for the offense the commission or omission of which was the subject of the attempt."
