19761214 1976-33ORDINANCE NO. 1976-33 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 7(G) (8) OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, PERTAINING TO SIGNS PROHIBITED IN THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, that Section 7(G) (8) of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, pertaining to signs pro- hibited in the City of Fairfax, Virginia, be, and it hereby is, amended and reenacted to read in its entirety as follows: The following designated portable signs are pro- "8. hibited: a) Any sign painted on or displayed on vehicles or trailers parked in public places and used primarily for the pur- poses of advertising; b) Any sign which is not permanently attached to a building or like structure, or which is not permanently mounted in the ground, which can be transported to other locations, and which indicates the name of a business, or indicates the product, services or entertainment offered by a business, or indicates the cost or price thereof, including any sign composed in whole or in part of moveable or temporary letters or numerals; c) Any business sign permanently painted on and per- manently attached to a co~,~ercial vehicle which is incidental to the primary use of the vehicle as a delivery, service or trans- portation vehicle shall not be prohibited."
