AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13-252
OF THE FAIRFAX CITY CODE
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia, that section 13-252 of the Code of the City of Fairfax
be, and it hereby is, amended and reenacted to read in its
entirety as follows:
Sec. 13-252. Amount and proration of tax.
On every motor vehicle, trailer and semitrailer subject to
this article, except motorcycles, there shall be a tax of twenty
dollars per annum. On motorcyles, there shall be a tax of eight
dollars per annum for each motorcycle, and four dollars per annum
for each sidecar.
One-half of the annual fee shall be collected for licenses
issued during the period beginning on the first day of October in
any year and ending on the fifteenth day of 3anuary in the same
license year, and one-third of such fee shall be collected for
licenses issued after the fifteenth day of January in any license
year.
This ordinance shall take effect on July 1, 1975.
