AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH
WATER CONNECTION FEES
AND AVAILABILITY AND
FRONTAGE CHARGES
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Virginia, that the Water Connection Fees and Avail-
ability and Frontage Charges be and they hereby are established
as follows:

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that:
1. The availability charge for any premise exclusive of
single family dwellings shall be as listed above or at the rate
of $0.15 per square foot whichever results in the higher charge.

Multi-use premises shall be charged based on the
various types of use or on the principal use whichever results
in the higher charge.
3. The City Manager or his representative shall determine
the type and availability charge for all premises. When the
premise does not fall under any of the listed types the Manager
shall select the most appropriate type or types listed.
4. The type of premises and units of measurement shall
be defined in the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Fairfax.
5. The rates shall be applicable to all new construction
made after August 1, 1975. Existing dwelling, office, or com-
mercial buildings shall be required to pay only those fees and
rates in effect on July 14, 1975.
This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its
adoption.
