AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE
CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, TO ADD TO
CHAPTER TWO OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF
FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, A NEW ARTICLE XI
CREATING A NEW DEPARTMENT TO BE KNOWN
AS THE "DEPARTMENT OF WATER AND SEWER
SERVICES."
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City
of Fairfax, Virginia, that the Code of the City of
Fairfax, Virginia, be and it hereby is amended by
adding to Chapter 2 of the Code of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia, a new Article XI to read in its entirety as
follows:
"Article XI. Department. of Water
and Sewer Services
"Sec. 2-58. Created; name.
"There is hereby created a department of the
City government which shall be known as the "department
of water and sewer services."
"Sec. 2-59. Director of Water and Sewer Services--Office
Created; duties
"The office of the director of water and sewer
services is hereby created. The director shall, subject
to the supervision of the city manager, plan, organize and
direct the department of water and sewer services."
