AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 12-18.1 TO THE CODE OF THE
CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, TO ALLOW CORRECTIONS TO LICENSE
APPLICATIONS, WITHOUT PENALTY, IN CERTAIN SITUATIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia, that the Code of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, be
amended by adding a section numbered 12-18.1, as follows:
"Sec. 12-18.1. Corrections to license apDlications without
penalty in certain situations.
Persons renewing licenses based on gross receipts or gross
expenditures, as herein provided, shall be allowed to
correct, without penalty, any application originally sub-
mitted within the prescribed time, provided such correction
is made and any increase in tax due under this Chapter is
paid prior to May 1st of the year involved, and provided
further, that the said correction does not involve an
increase in tax due under this Chapter in excess of 10% of
the tax originally paid."
This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage.
