AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND RE-ENACTING SECTION 13-252
OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, TO
CHANGE THE AMOUNT OF THE MOTOR VEHICLE LICENSE TAX.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia, that Section 13-252 of the Code of the City of Fair-
fax, Virginia, be amended and re-enacted to read in its entirety,
as follows:
"Section 13-252. Amount of Tax.
"On every motor vehicle, trailer and semi-trailer
subject to this article, except motorcycles, there shall be a
tax of ten dollars per annum. On motorcycles there shall be a
tax of three dollars per annum for each motorcycle and two
dollars per annum for each sidecar.
"One-half of the annual fee shall be collected for
licenses issued during the period beginning on the first day of
October in any year and ending on the fifteenth day of January
in the same license year, and one-third of such fees shall be
collected for licenses issued after the fifteenth day of January
in any license year."
This ordinance shall become effective March 15, 1970
for the license year commencing April 1, 1970 and license years
commencing thereafter.
