19660906 1996-8ORDINANCE NO. 1966-8 AN ORDINANCE DECLARING A WATER SUPPLY EMERGENCY TO EXIST AND IMPOSING CERTAIN RESTRICTIONS ON THE USE OF CITY WATER. The City Council of the City of Fairfax hereby ORDAINS as follows: 1. An emergency is hereby declared to exist caused by the shortage of water in the City's impoundment area and supply system. 2. Except during the hours between 9:00 p. m. and 12:00 midnight, it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corpora- tion to use or cause to be used any water distributed through the water distribution system of the City of Fairfax for any of the following purposes: Watering or irrigation of lawns, plants, trees or shrubbery. 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this Ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine not to exceed one hundred ($100.00) dollars. 4. This Ordinance, adopted as an emergency Ordinance, shall be in force immediately upon its adoption and shall remain in force until repealed by the City Council.
