19661206 1996-16ORDINANCE NO. 1966-16 AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE NECESSITY OF ALTERING AND RELOCATING A ROAD WITHIN THE SECONDARY SYSTEM OF STATE HIGHWAYS IN ORDER TO ENLARGE THE WATER IMPOUNDMENT FACILITY OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX IN LOUDOUN COUNTY, VIRGINIA. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: 1. Having heretofore caused a study to be made in order to provide for the enlargement of the impoundment facility of the water system of the City of Fairfax in Loudoun County, Virginia, and having determined that said enlargement of the water supply is necessary in order to provide for the public safety, health and welfare, and having determined that the most appropriate location of the new impoundment area would require the relocation of a section of State Route 625, a road within the secondary system of State highways, the City of Fairfax, pursuant to Section 33-82 of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, hereby declares that such relocation is necessary and further declares that it is the intention of the City of Fairfax to comply with the requirements of Article 7, Chapter 1, Title 33 of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended. 2. The proposed relocation of the road is shown on the attached plat, incorporated herein by reference, and made a part of this ordinance. 3. This ordinance setting forth the above declaration of the City of Fairfax shall be effective immediately upon its adoption and the Clerk shall forthwith forward a certified copy hereof to the Board of Supervisors of Loudoun County with the request that the Board of Supervisors consider the reasonableness of the action contemplated by this ordinance and comply with Section 33-83 of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended.
