19680521 1968-7ORDINANCE NO. 1968-7 AN ORDINANCE to provide for the amendment and reeanctment of the City Ordinances adopted January 4, 1966 and August 26, 1967, in order to place certain properties owned by the County o~f Fairfax, Virginia, within said County and to strike the same from the City. WHEREAS, the County of Fairfax, Virginia, owns certain parcels of land within the corporate limits of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, and WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax, Virginia, derives and will derive no tax revenues from these parcels but must provide services thereto; and WHEREAS, it would be in the best interests of both the City of Fairfax, Virginia and the County of Fairfax, Virginia, for the said County of Fairfax to have complete jurisdiction over said parcels of land; and WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax, Virginia, has already contracted its boundaries with respect to some parcels of land owned by the County of Fairfax, Virginia. THEREFORE, be it ordained: 1. That all of those parcels or tracts of land shown on three certain plats prepared by Herman L. Courson, certified land surveyor, designated as follows: a. Mary Lee and William T. Bryant, dated October 4, 1965 and recertified October 10, 1967, containing 0.4611 Acres; b. Perry R. Leonard, dated October 4, 1965, containing 1.9868 Acres; c. Harley M. and Marguerite B. Williams, dated October 4,1 1965, containing 1.5252 Acres; which are incorporated herein by reference and copies of which are attached hereto, be stricken off from the City of Fairfax, Virginia, and be made a part of Fairfax County, Virginia, in accordance with the Code of Virginia of 1950, as amended, Section 15.1-1059 et seq. 2. That this ordinance be published for two successive weeks in the Fairfax City Times. 3. That this ordinance be posted in at least ten public places within the territory to be stricken off. 4.
