19681217 1968-17ORDINANCE NO. 1968-17 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AND IMPOSING A LICENSE TAX UPON THE SALE OF MIXED BEVERAGES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, as follows: Chapter 12 of the Fairfax City Code shall be amended by adding a new section numbered Section 12-23.1, which shall read as follows: "Section 12-23.1. Mixed beveraqes. Persons in the City licensed by the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Board to sell mixed beverages at retail shall pay a license tax as follows: (1) Persons operating restaurants, including restaurants located on premises of and operated by hotels or motels: (a) Two hundred dollars per annum for each restaurant with a seating capacity at tables for fifty to one hundred persons; (b) Three hundred fifty dollars per annum for each restaurant with a seating capacity at tables for more than one hundred but not more than one hundred fifty persons; and (c) Five hundred dollars per annum for each restaurant with a seating capacity at tables for more than one hundred fifty persons. (2) A private, non-profit club operating a restaurant lo- cated on the premises of such club, three hundred fifty dollars per annum. This tax shall be proratable quarterly, but shall not be transferable and is levied in addition to any other license tax imposed upon the licensee including, but not limited to alcoholic beverages taxes and restaurant license taxes."
