AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 13-247.1 TO TNE CODE OF THE CITY
PAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, CONCERNING CONDITIONS PRECEDENT TO ISSUANCE OF
WARRANTS FOR VIOLATION OF PARKING ORDINANCES.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia,
that the Code of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, be amended by adding a
section numbered 13-2~7.1, as follows:
"Sec. 15-247.1.
Conditions precedent to issuance of warrants
for violation of parkin~ ordinances.
Before any warrant shall issue for the prosecution of a
violation of Article X or Article XI, the violator shall
have been first notified by registered mail at his last
known address or at the address shown for such violator
on the records of the Division of Motor Vehicles, that he
may pay the~ne, provided by law for such violation, within
five days of receipt of such notice, and the officer
issuing such warrant shall be notified that the violator
has failed to pay such fine within such time."
This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage.
