A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF
APPROXIMATELY 8.73 ACRES OF PROPERTY HAVING ADDRESSES OF
10320 RANGER ROAD AND 10400 SHILOH STREET, TAX MAP NUMBERS
47-4-((2))-E AND 47-4-((1))-2C, OWNED BY FAIRFAX MOTEL
ASSOCIATES, FOR OPEN SPACE AND PUBLIC PARK PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City has determined that there is a public need for the acquisition of
approximately 8.73 acres of property, having addresses of 10320 Ranger Road and 10400
Shiloh Street, Tax Map Nos. 47-4-((2))-E and 47-4-((1))-2C, which property is owned by
Fairfax Motel Associates; and
WHEREAS, the properties are valued at a total of $355,465.00; and
WHEREAS, the owners have agreed to sell the properties to the City for the sum of
One Hundred Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($100,000.00), and to donate the remaining
$255,465.00 of the value of the land to the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
that the acquisition of approximately 8.73 acres of property, having addresses of
10320 Ranger Road and 10400 Shiloh Street, Tax Map Nos. 47-4-((2))-E and 47-4-((1))-2C,
owned by Fairfax Motel Associates, for the sum of One Hundred Thousand and No/100
Dollars ($100,000.00), with the remaining land value of $255,465.00 being donated to the
City, is hereby authorized.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is attthorized to execute all
documents necessary to effectuate the acquisition of the properties on behalf of the City.
