A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE GIFT OF 0.6384 ACRES OF UNIMPROVED LAND
GRANTED TO THE CITY OF FAIRFAX BY ROBERT AND CARLA TOENNIESSEN
FOR THE PURPOSES OF PRESERVING OPEN SPACE AND PERPETUATING THE
TRAIL SYSTEM AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE
DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR THE TRANSFER OF THE LAND.
WHEREAS, Robert and Carla Toenniessen (the "Toenniessens") own approximately
1.6635 acres of land located at 3718 Richard Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the Toenniessens desire to dedicate approximately 0.6384 acres of their
land to the City of Fairfax for the purposes of preserving open space and perpetuating the
City's trail system, and the City agrees to accept this property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax
that the girl of 0.6384 acres of unimproved land granted to the City of Fairfax by the
Toenniessens for the purposes of preserving open space and perpetuating the trail system is
hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax that the
City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the Deed of Gift and any other documents
necessary to transfer the property on behalf of the City of Fairfax.
