A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FIRE CHIEF/EMERGENCY SERVICES
COORDINATOR TO FILE AN APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL FINANCIAL
ASSISTANCE UNDER THE U.S DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE EQUIPMENT GRANT
PROGRAM, AS ADMINISTERED BY THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia that our
designated agent, Fire Chief Thomas W. Owens, is hereby authorized to execute for and on
behalf of the City of Fairfax, a public entity established under the laws of the Commonwealth
of Virginia, an application and to file it in the appropriate State Office for the purpose of
obtaining certain Federal financial assistance under the U.S. Department of Justice Equipment
Grant Program, administered by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Fairfax, a public entity established
under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, hereby authorizes its agent to provide to the
Commonwealth and to the U.S. Department of Justice for all matters pertaining to such
Federal financial assistance, any and all information pertaining to these grants as may be
requested.
